Past the beggar and the suffering walks he who asks, 'Why, oh God, do you not do something for these people?'

To which God replied, 'I did do something, I made you.'

~ Old Sufi Saying

Unfortunately this graph is not just about numbers.  It's about people in our community who cannot afford to feed themselves and their families. And as you can see, more and more are turning to us for help.

Speaking of help, we need yours. There is no increase in county funding for food to help us keep up with the need.  Federal funding has all but disappeared.  With a donation of only $2 we can provide groceries for 9 meals for every person who comes to us for assistance.

Seems like a small price to pay to make sure our neighbors do not go hungry.

Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve.... You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.

Each time a man stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
