Operation Warm in Lakewood, Ohio announcement

Lakewood Community Services Center (LCSC) and the City of Lakewood Department of Human Services, Division of Youth are pleased to invite you to Operation Warm, a program of the Ohio Governor’s Office in support of families who qualify for TANF.

Distribution of winter jackets and tennis shoes will be at COVE Community Center, 12525 Lake Avenue (enter parking lot from Cove Avenue) on January 27 from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you!

If your household qualifies for TANF, you can receive winter jackets and/or tennis shoes for your children.  Jackets are available in sizes 3T to 14 and shoes in sizes for toddlers to teens.

To qualify for TANF, there must be a minor child or children in your household, and you need to meet the following income guidelines:

*Add $4,720 for each person over 8.

Healthy Lakewood Foundation Grant Announcement

We are thrilled to be bringing back this free program for children enrolled in Lakewood schools in grades K-5 who qualify for free and reduced-cost meals. LCSC has received a Community Grant in the amount of $39,000 from the Healthy Lakewood Foundation to support the return of our Summer Lunch and Enrichment Program beginning in June 2023.

Vincent J. Stark Foundation Renewal Grant Announcement

LCSC is grateful to the Vincent J. Stark Foundation Board of Trustees for approving a funding grant for the sixth year in a row. The grant is in the amount of $20,000 and will provide partial salary support for the three full-time staff members who manage and implement the twice-month emergency food deliveries to low-income residents in Lakewood, Rocky River, and Westlake.
